Grunberg declared a double finalist at Accounting Excellence Awards 2026

Leading London Accountancy firm, Grunberg, has been shortlisted for two of the most prestigious honours in the profession, receiving nominations for both Employer of the Year and Mid-Tier Firm of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards 2026.

The double recognition reflects a significant twelve months for the firm, which has invested heavily in its people, expanded its technical capability and completed a landmark strategic move by joining the Xeinadin group in January 2026.

This step has broadened the specialist services available to its growing client base without altering the client relationships that have defined the firm for more than 35 years.

The Employer of the Year shortlisting recognises Grunberg’s structured and genuinely distinctive approach to wellbeing, training and development.

Built on more than three decades of developing talent from the ground up, the firm’s programme now combines in-house technical training, personalised mentoring at every level and a formal reflective personal development pathway that runs from the first day through to partnership.

The past year has seen three long-serving team members, Charlotte Lishman, Jamie Breslaw and Avilasha Khanal, promoted to partner, all of whom began their accounting careers at Grunberg.

The firm is also ahead of incoming legislation on workforce wellbeing, holding committed member status under both the Menopause Friendly and Menstruation Friendly Accreditations, employing three trained Mental Health First Aiders alongside a dedicated Mental Health Champion and ensuring staff health and wellbeing is at the forefront of everything we do.

The Mid-Tier Firm of the Year nomination acknowledges the firm’s broader strategy. The past year saw Grunberg launch its inaugural Client Advisory Board, gathering direct client feedback to shape service improvements, while also expanding its offering in private client tax, which earned the firm a separate shortlisting at the Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2026.

Headcount has also grown to more than 90 people and the firm has seen progression throughout its team, as it looks to its future.

Commenting on the double shortlisting, Robert Bean, Managing Partner at Grunberg, said: “To be recognised in two categories at the Accounting Excellence Awards is a reflection of the work our entire team has put in over the past year.

“2026 has been a landmark period in our firm’s history, especially with us joining Xeinadin and the new opportunities that will bring for our team and the thousands of clients we support.

“We have always believed that great people produce great results for clients and for the firm and these nominations are a testament to that commitment. We couldn’t have achieved everything we have without the great team of leaders and individuals that work here.”

The Accounting Excellence Awards celebrate the best firms, teams and individuals across the UK accountancy profession.

The 2026 winners will be announced at the awards ceremony later this year on 29 September at the Roundhouse in Camden.
