Corporate social responsibility

Alongside our regular work as accountants and tax advisors, we are committed to making a positive impact on the communities in which we work and live.

Our aim is to give something back to some of the most vulnerable people and groups in our society.

In the past, we have supported several good causes, including children’s charity Miracles, Resources for Autism and currently work with a number of groups, such as Colindale Foodbank.

Our 2024 ESG Goals

During 2024, we’re narrowing our ESG efforts to four key areas:

Our Charity of the Year

We will be supporting Cancer Research UK as our Charity of the Year!

With there being around 375,000 people diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK, the research work that Cancer Research UK does is vital for identifying cures.

This cause is very close to our hearts, with a lot of individuals being impacted by cancer, so we’re hoping to raise as much awareness and funding as possible through a series of events.

Keep an eye on our progress!

Time to make a difference

We believe your job shouldn’t stand in the way of you making a difference.

So, we encourage each member of our team to take a paid day off each year to volunteer for a charity of their choice.

Trees for our fees

As active members of Net Zero Now, we’re committed to making the necessary changes to ensure our firm meets the Net Zero target by 2030.

Alongside making small changes to our internal processes, from recycling initiatives to paperless operations, we will also be planting four trees for each client we onboard in 2024!

Putting well-being centre stage

Mental health should always be a priority, especially in the workplace.

We currently have three trained Mental Health First Aiders and will encourage more members of our team to train this year!

We’re also committed to providing Mental Health, Stress Awareness and Anxiety Awareness Training for all our team members alongside access to the Thrive Wellbeing app.

Environment

Office recycling – no individual team waste bins so maximum amount of waste is recycled

No plastic or paper cups

Filter water straight from the tap so no bottled water required

LED lighting to save energy

Hot water tap to save energy and water consumption

Paperless office

Local Community

Working with local schools to provide individuals from the local community with work experience and apprenticeship opportunities.

Supporting Colindale Foodbank by organising regular employee donations to provide essential food and products to the local community.

Purchasing office supplies from local businesses

Note: we haven’t worked with Catch 22 for some years so can’t include this

Working with Langdon charity, providing employment opportunities for those with learning disabilities, helping them to lead independent and fulfilling lives

Working with the charity Miracles, helping support children and their families living in poverty through crisis situations

Below is an overview of just some of the ways that we are helping local organisations and good causes.
