Audit Partner
Specialising in complex audit and accounting issues
Approach to work
I enjoy breaking down processes so that I can help clients to identify ways to improve efficiencies and mitigate risk.
Combining an analytical approach with my passion to assist clients, I help deliver accurate audits and provide improvements to many different audit and accounting systems.
It provides me with a real sense of achievement to see the results of these improvements, especially for the many fast-growing businesses that our firm supports.
I lead the firm’s audit department and I am responsible for all the audit work. I specialise in complex audit and accounts issues, and advise businesses in a wide range of sectors from FCA regulated entities, to travel and property development companies as well as charities.
As head of audit, I am responsible for the design and implementation of the firm’s audit systems and provide training on accounts and audits to other members of our team.
I also advise other businesses, providing them with the guidance and tax advice they need to grow, and ensure that they’re on the right path from the start.
Background
I joined the firm as an Audit Senior in 2010 and was made Partner in April 2014. Outside of my regular work, I have lectured at the ICAEW on a range of audit-related topics.

About
I completed a three-year undergraduate degree, a postgraduate diploma, the ITC and APC board exams. As a result, I’m eligible to register as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa. Having started my career as a school leaver, I achieved my chartered accountancy qualification at 25, even after missing a year of education, an achievement of which I am incredibly proud.
I have experience dealing with large group audits. A recent accomplishment was overcoming a significant delay to a large group of audits. The delay caused other issues which we had to problem solve. However, as a team, we managed to complete all the audits with some strategic planning and a great team effort. These are the sorts of projects I love.
I enjoy sports and the outdoors in general.
Accounts & Audit Assistant Manager
Approach to work
I develop relationships with clients by being professional and approachable and building trust by providing a beneficial service to them.
I enjoy being a part of the audit process from start to finish and take great pride in a job well done. I have found my approach to problem solving complex audits has been successful by talking through the complex audit components with my peers. This collaborative approach allows for new ideas and new ways to problem solve which provides an advantage over just thinking through the problem alone.
About
I have a BCOM Accounting Degree (2016) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (2017) from Nelson Mandela University in South Africa.
I am also a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and have been registered as a Chartered Accountant since 2021.
Recently, I worked on an audit for a large equipment rental company in the US. I spent over 600 hours on the audit which included work on acquisitions, opening balance testing, multiple entities within the group and consolidation. This was challenging due to the sheer volume of work, the stringent deadlines, and the fact that the audit was completed using US GAAP. However, by working as a team, we were able to complete the audit on time and the client was very happy with the result.
I plan to continue gaining experience of audits in as many different sectors as possible, one of the many reasons I chose to work at Grunberg & Co.

I develop good relationships with my clients and communicate with them regularly. I always conduct an introductory call and provide them with the audit’s expectations. I thereafter regularly update the client on the audit’s progress.
I always approach problems with a calm and clear mind, starting at the basics to determine a clear approach that will lead us to a satisfactory conclusion.
