HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has launched a new service, the Income Record Viewer (IRV), designed to enhance the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns.
The service grants your tax agent access to your PAYE information for the current and four previous tax years, employment records, taxable benefits, and state and private pension information.
The new system, which requires a ‘digital handshake’ for authorisation, promises significant benefits for both agents and clients, streamlining tax-related procedures.
