Grunberg & Co Partners get in the saddle for charity in this year’s RideLondon challenge

Two partners at one of London’s leading independent accountancy firms, Grunberg & Co, are taking part in this year’s RideLondon for charities Spread a Smile and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Peter McMahon and Alain Stechler will be setting off together at around 8am on Sunday 29th May to cycle 100 miles from Central London and around Essex to raise money for these great causes.

Alain will be fundraising for Spread a Smile, a charity dedicated to entertaining terminally and seriously ill children who are required to spend long stays in hospital.

Meanwhile, Peter will be cycling in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, whose work providing care and treatment to children from across the UK is world-renowned.

Speaking ahead of the journey, Alain said: “I have taken part in several charity bike rides, including this very event before, but I am particularly proud this time to be raising much-needed funds for the wonderful Spread a Smile charity.

“I know we are all asked to donate to so many worthy causes regularly, but I am hoping that lots of our clients, contacts and my colleagues will get behind us for this one.”

Peter added: “Everyone has been feeling the pinch in recent times but none more than the charities who have had a lot of their funding cut.

“Knowing that I am doing my bit to help a great cause will drive me on during this tough challenge and I hope that I can do my bit to support the fantastic work of Great Ormond Street Hospital.”
