London accountancy firm, Grunberg & Co, has welcomed eight new starters to its team as it looks to further expansion in 2019.
The last 12 months have been a busy period for the firm as it opened two new offices in the city, one in Colindale and the other in Moorgate, as well as being shortlisted for several national awards and welcoming new clients from around the world.
However, in the last few months, it has taken time to grow its ranks of accountants and advisers with the appointment of new staff, including two new trainees.
Christopher Pittas and Patrick Tempany have both joined the practice’s apprenticeship scheme and have begun their studies with Grunberg & Co with the goal of one day becoming Chartered Accountants.
Meanwhile, Kaibon Lee and Kate Berneye both joined the firm with some previous experience, but with plans to advance their careers within the practice.
Kaibon previously trained at two firms in London, where he gained skills in online accounting, bookkeeping and VAT returns.
With a background in engineering, Kaibon is able to work with a wide range of clients to deliver an exceptional level of service.
Kate, on the other hand, previously spent two years working in the prize indemnity insurance sector and is now training with the firm to specialise in company secretarial work.
The firm’s other recent appointments include Vanda Robinson, who is joining the bookkeeping team as a Senior Bookkeeper and Hibo Ahmed, who is now a Senior Accountant and Semi Senior Auditor within the firm’s audit and accounts department.
Mark Rookes, also joins the practice taking up the position as its newest Audit and Accounts Manager.
He is ACA qualified and has experience of dealing with work relating to statutory auditing, accounts preparation for small and medium-sized companies, consolidated group accounts, FCA client money auditing, partnership tax and LLPs.
Grunberg & Co’s final appointment, Raz Miah, has been appointed under the newly formed position of Business Systems Manager. With a demonstrated history of working in the accounting industry, Raz will assist the firm with its use of IT and software systems to ensure it is delivering streamlined services and provide similar process improvements directly to clients as well.
Robert Bean, Managing Partner at Grunberg & Co, said: “We are really excited to be welcoming so many new people to our firm. The last year has seen us undergo a radical expansion, including the introduction of a number of new services.
“Next year looks set to be another busy period for us and the UK in general, what with the introduction of Making Tax Digital and the prospect of Brexit, but we are already planning ahead to make the most of the new opportunities that may arise during this time.”
